- Do I need special stencil paper?
- No. Print on plain paper, tape it to the pumpkin, poke the outline, take the paper off, then carve the marks.
- How do I know if a stencil is easy?
- Every design shows a three-bar meter. One bar is Easy: big shapes, under ten cuts, nothing floating. Three bars is Advanced: fine detail and thin bridges. We measured all 250, so the rating is about the cutting, not the picture.
- What is the difference between the pack and the book?
- The pack is a PDF you print at any size as often as you like, $7.95. The book is a paperback with the same fifty designs, one per page with a blank back, $9.99 on Amazon.
- Can I use the stencils for painting instead of carving?
- Yes. Trace around the black shapes and paint inside the lines. A painted pumpkin lasts three to four weeks.
- How long does a carved pumpkin last?
- Three to five days. Seal the cut edges with petroleum jelly, keep it cold, and use an LED light instead of a candle to stretch it to a week.
